Set a day aside during your getaway to explore the beautiful Glass House Mountains National Park, a spectacular protected range of volcanic craggy peaks within easy reach of our Caloundra family holiday apartments.

You can explore the area by car, on one of the many iconic scenic driving routes that wind through the region, or pack a picnic and head out on a full day or half day hike to explore lush pine plantations, rugged heathland and eucalypt forest. Hiking tracks range from easy to extremely challenging and many lead to spectacular peaks and lookouts with breathtaking panoramic views.

The Park is home to nearly thirty rare and threatened species of plant, as well as koalas, grey kangaroos and a huge variety of birds. If you want to find out more about the Mountains diverse wildlife and fascinating history as a aboriginal ceremonial ground, you can head to one of the many information centres dotted throughout the region, where you’ll also find picnic and barbecue facilities.
