Caloundra is the gateway to the Sunshine Coast offering
uncrowded beaches, views of the Glass House Montains and the
beautiful waters of the Pumicestone Passage.. Caloundra City
lays claim to 10 of Queensland’s most popular
patrolled beaches as well as beautiful rainforests and
numerous botanical, environmental and national parks
A new boardwalk linking Kings Beach with Bulcock Beach
offers fantastic views and convenience for walkers and
joggers alike. And the redeveloped foreshore of Kings Beach
has a wonderful parkland for the whole family with a
children's playground, outdoor auditorium and a lot of
picnic areas and walking pathways.
For water sport enthusiasts Caloundra has plenty to offer
from surfing beaches and breaks at the headlands, kite
surfing at Happy Valley near the passage entrance, to
windsurfing and jet skiing in the passage . Boating
and fishing are huge drawcards for both the serious
fisherman.
Retail therapy is a must in Caloundra with its boutique
shops and the arts and craft markets every Sunday in
Caloundra and on Wednesday and Saturday in Eumundi.
Caloundra boasts of its many fine restaurants and cafes. The
Caloundra RSL club has now won the Queensland ‘club of the
year’ for the third year running.
For golf enthusiasts there is the Caloundra Golf Club and
nearby are even more choices with Pelican Waters, Novotel
Twin Waters and the Hyatt Regency Coolum Club all offering
challenging courses.
Caloundra is 96km from Brisbane and the perfect place to get
away to relax, rejuvenate and re-energise. The Sunshine
Coast Airport is 35 minutes north of Caloundra making
getting here easy.
